On my set up, you can expect only about 120 shots per fill. She be a gas hog!!! But, can you say "MORE POWER"??

Do you have a link to your post on this gun? I remember that you built this last year and, I believe, Crosshairs shortly after built a gun with a similar setup.

:( can't find it but a few more pic ...

Ok, this is getting a little clearer. It reminds me of what I went through trying to understand HPA tanks for my PCPs.

- I will likely get the GMAC Powerlet Eliminator

- I found the drop forward device on eBay. I assume this one is suitable for my needs. http://www.ebay.com/itm/300932522866?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649

- Is a 12" hose suitable? Longer? I'll see if I can get one from GMAC but if not, where is a good place to pickup a cheap but safe hose? Bling not important.

- If 3.5 oz = 99 grams, so a 3.5 oz tank is approximately equivalent to 8-9 cartridges...then I'm more than happy with that assuming I'll get 8 * 30 = 240 shots per tank (I get 30 per powerlet now). Any reccs for a tank?

- back to filling. Should I get an additional larger tank that I get refilled less often and us it to fill the 3.5 oz tank (vs. hauling the small tank to the sporting goods store for a fill). If so, what style tank do I look for and do I need special fittings? A pic of someone's setup would be great. I don't know anything about paintball...basically trying to understand by comparing it to my PCP tank knowledge.

Thanks guys  ???

Yes, that works nicely mounted under the grip.

A 9" hose is adequate when paired with a 2240 CO2 tube and the drop forward you purchased. Longer tube? Use a longer hose.

A 9 oz tank might just fit at 2 1/8" x 10 1/2". So that is an option. 3.5 oz. tanks are more expensive but lighter and less bulky. I look for the cheapest new tanks I can find. e-paintball.com is offering the 3.5 oz for $24; very good price on those.

I am going through this right now. Call Tim at Mac1. He has a transfer setup that seems fairly simple. You will also need a scale that can read tenths of ounces. I am considering the purchase of a new 10 lb. tank with siphon tube, simple fill station, and scale.

I use a 20lb. fire extinguisher to fill my 12 and 20 oz. tanks. Costs about $20.00 to fill once a year or so.
