Well, Crosman received it this morning. I (we on the forum) think that some debris somehow was inserted into the checkvalve preventing it from closing and thus kept the pistol from holding air. The first two days I used the pistol, I used my scuba tank. On the 3rd day, I thought I would try the pump. Why not? It pressurized quickly but I didn't hear the check valve close as is normal when pumping in air or using a tank. Anyway, I de-pressuriazed the hose and tried a shot shot (I didn't check the gauge on the pistol after de-pressurizing) and the pistol went Pfffft! Checked the gauge and it was zero. Filled the gun with the scuba tank and before de-pressurizing the hose, shot out the pellet that I knew was still in the barrel. Then de-pressurized and watched the gauge go to zero. Called Crosman, they sent a label, shipped it, they received it today. Called them and of course, the technician is off today. I told them what the folks here told me that some debris got into the check valve and should be an easy repair. She said she would leave a note for the technician on monday and after repair they air the gun up, leave it for 24 hours to make sure it is ok, then let the air out and ship it back,. I also ordered some grips from Ralph at RB grips last friday. He said that would take three weeks so, it looks like all of the stars will line up at about the same time. I figure I should have the pistol back by September 5.

The hardest thing now is the waiting.  But it shall pass quickly, maybe.

I've never wanted something so useless in my life.

good luck!
when you get it back make sure your pump connector and scuba hose connect are free of debris before using them
use nice blast of air from the scuba tank to make sure the pump hose connector is clean
closed mouths dont get fed

Too bad I missed the earlier discussion.  I could have walked you through the fix.  I've had this happen before.  It'll be there before you know it!

its a good idea to keep them covered
airgunsmith.com sells an adapter that mounts to a pump ,it has a nipple on it for the hose to attach to.
if it does happen again it is a relatively easy fix
i had it happen to me also. unfortunately i build my guns from parts and dont get the luxury of sending them to crosman for warranty repair.
with the help of others on this forum i got the fill adapter fixed and was back shooting in no time
closed mouths dont get fed

It has arrived. Thought it was the air valve at the front. Note from Crosman: Installed new gauage and performed leak test. 2000psi when I opened the box....

So I put 3000psi in the pistol and put the Williams sight back on. Surprisingly it held zero pretty well at 15 yards (right target). Then I put the new Hawke Red Dot on. I put the Red Dot on the leading edge of the breech. This will serve as my witness mark when I take the Red Dot off to use the Williams sight. It shot a little low (left target). I cranked it up a bit and it is just about on. I will play again tomorrow. It be bed time now. Crosman put on a new gauge (crooked) so I guess it was not the front air valve. Hmmm.. I used Crosman 7.9 wadcutters tonight. Of course I wil have to find the one pellet it really likes. As it is a PCP pistol it will probably want something a little bit heavier. RB Grips should be here in a couple of weeks... :-*

Really nice target pistol. Feed it a diet of top quality pellets in the 7.0g-10g wadcutters and shred the 10 ring.

Like I said they replaced the gauge. It looks like a generic gauge. No company markings at all. Too, it reads higher than the gauges on either of my air tanks. I have two 4500psi tanks. One Great White and a brand new Guppy. When the gun gauge reads 3000psi, they both read 2700. The pistol shoots better than me though. So, what else is new? Trying real hard to keep both eyes open while using the red dot. When I do, I shoot much better than when I do with one. :-*
