Tore it completely apart last night, just to familiarize myself with it  (it's a lot easier to follow these threads now!).  I cleaned the barrel, and fiddled about with it some too...  (also ran some polishing compound down it on a mop, on the first 8 inches or so...)  Put her back together today, with a much lighter trigger spring  (from ace hardware), and now she is shooting a single ragged hole at 25 feet.  Night and day difference.

Before I stripped her down, it was impossible to get the iron sights to work, now I have the rear blade pushed full left and full down, and it's hitting a full inch directly above my poa.  Guess I'll just have to find something further away to shoot!

All this following on the heels of a session with my two cheap/Chinese springers...  I cant believe that I'm out shooting my rifles with a pistol...  I'm hooked.  (I'm not feeling the love for the springers right now...)

Thats the way it gos! Lol their simplicity is part of what makes them so addictive. Dremel tool and polishiing wheel on the trigger and sear surfaces and 2 small nylon washers sanded down to take out the wobble and the triggers can be made to shoot very well. And a nice clean trigger is a big part of accuracy.

And dont get rid of those springers yet. They will find their place. Its still nice to break out a spring gun once and a while.

good job!
i had the 1701p trigger group on my 1377. just for kicks i ordered a tko 1911 trigger and tko sear spring kit. i liked the tko set up so much i sold the 1701p trigger group
its definitely worth a try. the only set back, if you will, is the trigger is narrow like the stock one but it is a huge improvement over stock
a stock trigger can be made to function like the tko 1911 if you mod it
i have no tools but i am going to try to make a different kind of trigger shoe. one that will make the pull similar to the tko trigger. i have the trial material no to see what i can do
