Keep the kitchen table clean and the wife (or husband, don't want to offend any female shooters out there) happy.

Dollar Tree door mat. Very thin (1/8") with a good working surface and a rubber back.  The green surface is "felt like".

Would probably make a great tool box drawer liner also.

Not made in China, go figure!

Great idea. Looks like it will work fine. Non slip and good contrasting color to be able to see those small parts.

Neat. I just throw a "retired" white bath towel down on the kitchen table. Easy to spot the silver & black parts, and the terrycloth keeps stuff from bouncing too far. A rubber backing would be good - maybe a cheap bath mat would work as well.

Another white towel guy as I found out the hard way during the first disassembly about little flying parts... but the white towel saved me from losing parts more than once already.

I tried the old towel before, but that little safety spring and ball can get down in the loops of the terry cloth.  Had to take it to a tile floor and carefully turn it over.  Listening for the dink dink dink of the ball on the tile.

Not fun!

Disassemble the guns inside a one-gallon, clear Hefty storage bag. Springs and ball-bearings stay inside and you can see thru at what your doing :-*
