Any of you mounted a nightvision camcorder to your carbine stock?

I have mounted a Sony camcorder with nightvision to my Disco and blasted a few rats...worked well. I'd like to do the same with my 2400 and not reinvent the wheel for a way to attach to the carbine stock.

On the Disco I attached the camcorder lens to the back of the scope, then supported it from below against the Disco stock. It wasn't the most secure method (I used Snypercat's advice with the reducer/adapter rings). On my 2400 I have a Bugbuster, not sure how well the adapter rings will work on it but willing to try. I'd prefer to mount securely to the stock, possibly using the threaded hole in the bottom of the camera in some way...  :-X

this is the set up i use might work for a camcorder depending on its size. its called an orion scope camera mount. its also known as a seben. i took a scope once put a 1/4-20 bolt thru it and used it as a camera mount. go on youtube search scope camera mount a lot of different things people have used will turn up

Thanks. I am concerned the camcorder is heavier than the typical small camera most use with that mount. I didn't want to order as an experiment (I already order too much as an experiment  :P )

Was thinking something supported from  below on the stock would add the stability I want.

on youtube i saw a video where a guy zip tied or hose clamped a piece of pvc pipe to the stock drilled a couple holes in it mounted a piece of wood to that then velcro'd the camera to the wood with heavy duty velcro
i have seen small camcorders mounted to the set up i use. if i used one i would take something and make a stabilizer bar/mount from the stock to the orion.
how big is your recorder?

alot of lads in the uk for hunting at night are mounting  night time cctv cameras to the back of the scope and viewing it on a small screen mounted above the scope

I was thinking of mounting my old camcorder onto a 1377 carbine.  Any ideas on how to mount this one?    :P
