thick walled pvc cut to length then placed.in the oven on low to warm it up then place.between barrel and tube and clamp down.

It's not really necessary is it?  The transfer port is between the breech and the air valve/tube.  It would be a problem with 1400 rifles (and Sears 140 variants of the 140).

It's not necessary for sure but myself I like the looks of the spacer instead of a gap. I think crosman still has the 2260 spacer so all you have to do is cut it to length.

I just saw the new "P series" pistols (P1322, P1377, P1377BR) at Crosman.com, while on a parts run, and the barrel spacer is deleted.  One improvement - the pump arm handle appears to be retained by screws.

Can they be 3d made? Or is that to time consuming?
