Ok ,I'm not a newbe to airguns . Past two yrs been workin with a 1377  , 1322 for the past month .
Last wk got my first co2 gun . Been cold here n Louisiana hadn't got to shoot it much . Ok ,my question
is will a stock 2240 with a 14.5" barrel kill nutters and rabbits ??? Got a lot of new stuff to learn now
just when I was still learnin the 13xx's . Thanks for all I have learned a will learn  .  :-*

 :-\hello!

In a word. YES...  But distance will be a consideration.  Rabbits die easy a lot of FPE. is NOT required. But nutters are tougher and because the 2240 is not a power house reliable kills will required propped poet placement and clove or shorter distances.

One summer I shot about a dozen rabbits with my Webly Hurricane 177 this gun is. 6 FPE shooter. The 2240 is a little better as it's simpler velocities of 400 fps. Only the 40 does it with 12g pellets and my Webly 7 g.

Carl!

Please share your experiences with my 2540? I vividly remember your words when describing the power of it but just want to see/hear it again.  :o :-* ;) :D ;D

I didn't shoot anything but paper with mine until I put a Boss valve from B&A in it with the stock barrel at about guessing maybe 10 yards I took out a squirrel one shot to the head. Now it has the barrel off my 1322 on it.

definitely. but you have to be sure of your shots. heart-n-lungs will work but your best bet with stock guns is a headshot. careful of the Angle though, pellets can (and have!) deflected on such shots!

My 2240 with 12in barrel has had  no problems
taking out the tree rats at 20 yds ....
head shoots for sure ....

Agreed but in the cold below 58 might have a lower fps so test your gun first.
