I've got a muzzle brake/ l.d.c coming today from ACCustoms. I'll post up how it works this afternoon. I bought the brass disco trigger from http://www.bryanandac.com/ That makes a huge improvement in trigger feel and there is no need to change out the whole guard.

I don't have a 6" TKO but the 5" one quiets down the 2260 very nice.  Real backyard friendly.
#1763A105 is Marauder trigger group.  About $60. & then you need a trigger guard which Crosman doesn't sell.

i have 3 of the 6.5 in breaks. they work very nicely on my 1377, 2400 and 2250 allthe way up to 3 k psi. i can sit in the kitchen and shoot and not disturb people in the living room.

I have both 6.5 and 5 inch models...both work great, pick the length you like and go for it;)

vertguy

I use a 5 inch on both my pumper and the 2400KT... and the pellet impact is louder than the gun :-*

i would go with a marauder trigger and challenger trigger guard
i have one on my stainless 2260. after removing the lawyer spring it is an extremely smooth shooter
as far as the ldc goes i dont think there will be much difference in the report either 5/6 will get the job done

I have a 5" on my 2260 and it works fine and not to long with that long barrel.

Well most do say that size does matter but we believe that to not be true.  :P

Based upon TKO's own page, they do offer guidelines -

"Selecting a length for your LDC/Muzzle Brake:
As a general rule, the length of the brake should depend on your intended use and your airguns power level:

#1: A hunting gun that may be dragged through the brush would benefit from a shorter brake. The 5" TKO Brake still has good performance but is sturdy and makes for a more compact application.

#2: A dual purpose target and hunting gun can benefit from a longer brake. The 6.5" Stage V brake is the most popular and always in stock ready for shipment. The longer brake offers improved performance without being overly fragile and prone to mis-alignment.

#3: A pure target gun can definitely benefit from a longer brake. Often used indoors or from a steady bench in the backyard or from a porch or deck, the 7.5" "Stage V" brakes can be the ultimate in stealthy performance. The longer brakes do take some care in original installation to be sure the brake is perfectly aligned with the bore of the barrel. The longer brakes are prone to bumps and misalignment and therefore NOT suited to rough-and-tumble handling."

And if you err on the side of caution, depending on what you plan for your 2260, even the decision to opt for the 5" model isn't a bad choice for bench target work in the basement.   :-*
It ain't like it used to be but, eh, it's do.

They are good devices for the money. I always buy the .22caliber so I don't worry about swapping between .177or .22 cal guns.

That's a good idea!
