Does anyone still make large cal kits, ie barrel, breech and bolt for the 2240. (Over .25 Cal preferably)

I recall seeing a Jim Giles one somewhere.

I just got a potential project rattling around my head  ;)

I think you need to contact Mr. Gippeto sir..

Big bore on CO2 cartridges might be a bit anemic, but you probably already know that. A used Quackenbush pistol is one way to go. Another source might be Sean in VA-VB (http://www.workinmanshootingaccessories.com/index.html). He has done several builds of 9mm and larger, and might be able to set you up with an upper.

would have thought it might be better on a 2250 build gary as keeping under 6fpe and getting it to shoot any distance might be a challenge
it's something i'd love to build but i feel it would be more of a paper weight than a shooter in the uk unless it was on a fac be nice to see what you come up with though

This one is back on my mind again.
As Ped says I better be looking at this for my rifle builds rather than a very naughty pistol.
So probably looking for a 16" .30 cal barrel and breech kit.

While on the topic, does anybody remember the disaster I went through with this .30 shooter? I eventually gave up and simply donated to a fellow shooter on this forum.

I am still sick over how much I invested in that (parts, ammo that didn't fit, shipping fees, etc.). However, a VERY talented and patient master of tools and knowhow got it running and is STILL shooting it today  :-*

I'm not aware of any kits right now, Gary, but it can be done with a Baker big bore breech and a .30 cal, 1-26 twist barrel blank from TJ's (get the .500" o.d. to fit the breech) The blank will need cut, crowned, and TP / leade-in work. I did that with this:

I'm not sure who ships where... or if you have a local machinist... or if you can DIY. Not alot of help here, but I haven't seen kits (above .25 cal) since DAQ stopped making them.
