Different folks address people in different ways, it's mostly cultural and a function of a person's first or primary language. With my friends at work from Mexico, I'm "senor Brian". Fine with me.

Another example; Croslliner refers to folks as "Mr. BDS, or Mr. Carl" et al. It's simply his expression to address someone from his perspective.

IMO this faux BS of "dont call me sir" is a personal problem and doesn't need to be on the CAPOF threads (as Carl noted)

I'm sure there are are plenty of self-help/I have authority issues forums available for therapy if needed.
