RB grips used to make 'em, if that's who you're thinking of.

Ralph has not made them since his stint in hospital October or November.

I know... that's why I wrote "used to make 'em".

I don't know if Mountain Air stocked RB GRips or if they were just a middleman, but they had them on their site.

Honestly, they don't look too hard to make.

Good luck - JMJ

Hey Jim and Carl,

Next time I need help finding a product, be sure to let me crap all over your responses the way this guy does.

At least you tried :-*

Funny I should read your post today as I have fitted my insert in my stock today. A friend of mine had some black cherry blanks that he dried for 10 months and gave me a 8 foot x
10 " x 2 1/2 " piece.  I simply laid the stock over the wood and traced out the design and cut it 1/8" oversized. Then I worked it down to the proper size. I finished it with three coats of semi-gloss polyurethane and fastened it with wood screws, two on top and two on bottom. I'll fill the bottom holes with JB Weld and touch up with black magic marker. For the top I'm making a cheek plate from the same wood and I'll mount it on 1/4" dowels into the same screw holes. It looks good so far and I'm hoping the cheek plate and in the future a new forearm will round it out. I'm not a wood worker but am pleased with the outcome.

I'm surprised Mike hasn't chimed in yet. He used to have a nice 2240 with wood inserts.
You can make your own, cut two pieces of wood 1/8" oversized and cut a slight taper in the sides (can be done on a belt sander or a really steady hand on the scroll saw) so the pieced draw together once tightened.
