Hi All,

I've finally gotten back into some pellet target shooting in my garage after @ a year off. I moved and no longer have a basement so I'm confined to a 2 car garage now. I really miss shooting my RWS 34 .22 out the basement door into the woods not mention the pistols...... sigh, so goes life!

I'm planning on ordering a custom and had a few questions that I was hoping to get some help / opinions on. I'm looking at a 2400KT with an 18 inch .77 barrel, shoulder stock, blade stock (have an LDC), 2X Pistol scope and a trigger shoe. My plan is to primarily use it for garage target shooting, diagonal from one corner to the other, and some small pest if needed (still have the RMS .22). I'm planning on some mods like a trigger and I appreciate suggestions on this also.

My questions are:he Lothar barrel worth the extra money of the extra 8 inch length better?
- Is the pistol scope decent quality or should I skip it fo
- Is the barrel length a  big deal or just preference? Is tr something from Amazon?
- I'm going .77 since I have a .22 rifle already, any reason to go with a .22 on this build?

I realize it is ultimately up to me but I like to get opinions and thoughts from good people like you all who share my interest!!

Thanks in advance!

If you plan to shoot the gun primarily in carbine configuration, 18" is a good length. As a pistol, I prefer less than 16".

LW barrels are awesome. .177 is a right fine caliber.

A pistol scope will likely not work out when shooting the gun as a carbine. Figure out how you plan to use the gun and find an optic that meets your needs.

the pistol scope won't do well on a carbine/rifle so ---  if going with a pistol in mind, the LW barrel is worth it, BUT, some of the crosman barrels will hold there own at respectable distances SO    ... a longer barrel will you higher velocity as well better accuracy over longer distances IF the barrel is a good one
TOO many freaks and NOT enough circuses

I agree, 18 inches will be too long as a pistol.

I have one with a 14.5 inch barrel and a tko...honestly a bit too long for a pistol, but do-able. 12 inches is ideal in my opinion.

Thanks for your replies! I should add some more info.... I plan on using it as a carbine because I already have in my collection a 2300s, a lightly modded 2240 and a CP88.

Ok, the scope is out and will save some money!

In that case, go with the 18 inch barrel, and maybe a simple 3-9x40 scope...

Add the 10" lw barrel and a custom ldc from tko or my favorite accustoms.  He will make it to your specs. It will be a great little compact shooter for sure.

Make sure you want it; there are no returns for refund from the "custom" shop. Good thing they are cheap, tk

SlapStik

Good point TK! As you mentioned though, it will be less then $80 so I can live with that!  :-*
