I was using a piece of pipe insulation coved in vinyl as a cheek rest which works well but I started thinking of something different and began looking at the pump arm and thought that might just work.  So, I called Crosman and ordered one up.  I used a drill and I think it was a 3/4 bit to shape the pump arm to fit on the shoulder stock and Velcro to secure it.  It was very easy and works surprisingly well.  I also added a 24" barrel and my Leapers 4x32 scope.  I had it set up with an 18" barrel and a UTG Compact Bug Buster scope with pipe insulation coved in vinyl as a cheek rest .

Here are some pics.

Tater... what's news from your end of the shootin range? Any mods or new toys or backyard shooting going on?

Not too much unfortunately, but thanks for asking I've been doing a little shooting indoors (1377) and Tuesday and Wednesday I got a HOSP from my indoor blind (the couch).  :D    Not much time with long work hours and not able to shoot outdoors here is frustrating. No $ for a purchase or upgrades either.   :(

Ohhhhhh. I just noticed the Gallien-Krueger in the background. Man did use to want one of those so bad.
Years ago, I made the mistake of trying out my new bass through one of them. Every other amp sounded like crap ever since. Sorry to derail.

I like it!

I think you could finish it up perfectly if you filled in the gaps with some type of resin or hard drying putty, then sanded smooth, then bedliner coate pd the whole thing.

But it looks awesome the way it is... Awesome find!! :-*

Interesting.  Had picked up one of those "Pool noodles" at the Dollar General for a buck to fashion into a rest, well, sometime.  LOL  Nice work.  :)
It ain't like it used to be but, eh, it's do.

Nice. The ninny at Crosman told me that they "discontinued" the pump arm and wouldn't sell me it, yet you guys are clearly buying them with no problem and mounting them upside down to the back end of your guns for pete's sake!
Black air pistols matter.

From Crosman just the plastic forearm is only $8.00.

Old Discontinued or Wrong Part Number: 1389-010
New Correct Part Number: 1389-025

If you tried to order part number 1389-010 they will tell you it is discontinued.  I was told the same thing so I questioned it since I just bought the 2289 a few months ago. Turns out Crosman put together a new 2289 EVP & PL but haven't put it on their website that I can find.  The person at Crosman sent me the new 2289 EVP & PL which has the Forearm as part number 1989-025 now and the pins are 1300-009 Pump Grip Pin x 2.  I ordered everything using the new part numbers without any problems.

I'd post the new 2289 EVL & PL but it's too large of a file.

Hope that helps.
