while i'd love to have a Burris 3-12 AO pistol scope it's just not financially feasible . even $110ish for a simmons 2-6 LER is really really pushing it . i found WW sells the 2-7x32 pistolero for $43.35 ...

it get's pretty good comments over at OP and seem to be popular with the Mosin-Nagant PB's . if it handles the recoil of a deer rifle i think a crosman pumper should be no problem at all .

so what are y'alls thoughts about them ? i was considering a BSA 2-7x32 Edge Pistol Scope but it's almost $80 shipped and i don't wanna spend that much . plus at that price point i think the simmons 2-6 would be worth the $30ish difference

I have the 2.5X30 NcStar pistol scope which is the same more or less just without the magnification from 2-7. The scope is nice, good quality and view but it is a bit heavy. One thing is that the eye relief is way too much for my taste, I would only use it as a scout setup. I have heard good things about the BSA edge pistol scope but have no expirience myself with one.

thanks BigErn , i was hoping for comments on the eye relief and how close it will focus . i'm still curious about the the eye relief , it's rated for about 8 1/2 to 10 1/2 inches and i was wondering if it was a bit short , but if i put my left hand in my armpit and hold the 13xx in the bent elbow it seems (guesstimating) that will work pretty well . the edge and simmons IIRC are in the 16 to 20 inch range which seems more comfortable for a two handed straight armed hold . about how long is the eye relief on your 2.5X30 NcStar ?

am i correct in assuming that the further away a pistol scope is the more difficult eye alignment is ? or is that not really a issue ?

When I get a chance I'll measure the eye relief. I think you are right, the further away the scope is the harder it is to align the sight picture. I find that with this scope it has to be perfect if not you will not get a good sight picture, not much room to play with.

That NcStar Pistolero is 14" long. Seems like that's kinda long for a 1377.

i hadn't thought about the length . my 6-24 varmint is 14.8 inches long and would look ridiculous as a pistol scope .
dang it !

DBO, two thoughts :

One, I remember seeing a picture of a fellow online shooting a Crosman CO2 burner, either a 2300 or a modified 2240 with a rifle scope on it for benchrest needs (I was more interested in the rest he was using).

Two, if you did a search for member SandSquid, he ran some Vortex optics on his Custom Shop 2300s at one time shooting Silhouette at his local club.

Personally, the looks themselves are not all that bad, it may be weight that comes into play, or handling, as I had experienced shooting Mr Purple as a 24"-barreled pistol last week.  Of course, that extra barrel might of had something to do with it.  LOL   ???

If your gains are improved vision for shooting off a bag, the extra bulk shouldn't be as bad and it would offset the "looks".
It ain't like it used to be but, eh, it's do.

according to opticsplanet and NcStar they're 11-11.1 inches long . i think WM is mistaken .

found a pic of a 13xx with the 2-7x32 NcStar

the length looks fine but i think medium or possibly low mounts would look better .... but my sausage fingers may not like low mounts when loading :(

and i've found out that hammers makes a LER scope .

Finger clearance -

Yep, gotta consider that :

Crosman 1377 "Mr. Purple"

The Crosman 13177 converted to a .22 Carbine :

If shooting from a bag rest, the slightly higher rings could help keep your body position more erect/upright and comfortable as well (something to consider, sayeth yee with back troubles).

i've got a set of dovetail 1 inch 2 piece leapers high mounts that i got when i initially got the centerpoint or bushnell 4-16x40 (i forget which i tried first) . when i had the accushot SWAT with the 30mm tube i got medium mounts for it and my fingers fit just fine (it was a carbine then) . i'm kinda tempted to try low mounts , but chairgun shows i'll get a longer and farther "kill zone" with higher mounts . FWIU the NcStar comes with weaver mounts :( . i may just get a cheap weaver adapter so i can try a reflex sight down the road . anyway , i've got usable scope mounts already that will work with it so i'll change the mount later if i want to .

what height mounts are on the scopes in your pics ? looks like mediums .

Do you plan on using the gun as a pistol for bag rest shooting or just general pistol use?
You also might want to consider the parallax settings for the various scopes and at what distance you will do most of your shooting.  Parallax can be adjusted on most scopes.  Free hand shooting with a scope seems like a real chore to me.  But then I cant keep a red dot centered so I can't imagine what anything over 2 power would be like.

just shooting off the deck rail and maybe a little free hand . my eyes dont like open sights and i just got new glasses last year .

i'm hoping i can adjust the parallax to be clear from 7 or 8 yards out to 25ish yards .

I have an Ncstar 2-7x32 pistol scope. It is 10 7/8 inches long with the rear screwed out about ΒΌ inch to focus it.  It has a duplex reticule.  I got it at a gun show many years ago and I do not know what model it is.  The only marking on it is the logo and 2-7x32, it doesn't even have the made in China logo.  I never used it until a few months ago when I mounted it on my 2400 pistol. I focused the parallax at 25 yards by moving the internal ring at the front. I have an adjustable spanner wrench that I also use for other things, but one could probably make a tool fairly easily. It performed well at 25 yard bench rest.
