I want to shoot my 1377 with heavy pellets, like RWS Super Mags or JSB Heavies.

Before it buy a tin, can you please share your experiences with shooting heavy pellets with a stock 1377... For springers it is not advised, but I reckon this might be different for pumpers.

Looks like an ultimate plinking combi to me !

It won't hurt anything, but they'll be slow

Have me many an airgun :), count is 102 now...

Buy 'em & don't regret it.  Sometimes the (tighter) groups surprise you.
It ain't like it used to be but, eh, it's do.

bgmcgee

Can't hurt. Like T says they might surprise ya.

I've shot many different pellets of various weights through my 1377, whatever I happened to have.  Never had a problem.  I was shooting it tonight using 3 different pellets; it liked H&N Match (rifle).  RC

I have shot the Ultra Mags without any problems. Grouped well  :-*

Oh, and for springers, you should use a nice heavy pellet. I think its worse to use to light of a pellet in a springer??

Generally, I agree, though much depends on the power of the gun what is considered light.  I wouldn't think that chasing after fps by using x-light pellets is good for any springer.  RC

My 1377 is no longer stock, but it did well with JSB Exact Heavies. You can get the JSB sampler pack and try a few weights. I use Exacts exclusively now, but used to shoot the Heavies and even the Monsters. The improved BC partially compensates for the lower muzzle velocity.

Mine stock liked the  Winchester pointed best accuracy wise...

Now I am working on a 1377 carbine with a MK177 pump tube in hopes of launching  JSB Beasts at about 700 fps thru a Daisy 953 1:15 barrel...

I should get about 900+ fps with 7.9g CPL with the 19" L.W.  1:17.7 barrel

I will be using a Crosman 1:16  barrel also...
1322XLT(2100/13XX hybyid)750 fps @ 16 pumps w/CPHP 14.3g

MK1322(2240/13XX/MK177 hybrid) 805 fps at @ 22 pumps w/14.3g CPHP

about 5 more 13xxs

i just shot 20 yards with a stock set up 1377 15 pumps seemed like it took forever for the 10 grain pellet to hit the target
closed mouths dont get fed

I think I have a few CP heavies 10.4 grain domes left from the pellet exchange that I can shoot over the chrony. I can hopefully get to it today and post the results next to CP lights that I already shot over the chrony. My internals are stock, but I have a 24" barrel. If nothing else, it will somewhat show the difference in speed.

Now let's hope the rain stays away!

Not so bad on a 1377 since it shoots faster. If you had a 1322 and used heavy pellets you'd definitely be able to see them as they fly towards the target.
Black air pistols matter.

Can not speak for the 1377, Though in 2289/1322's I have used heavy pellets a good bit and they are great.

The ones I will grab if I need to go in a hurry (ie tornado flies through town, or similar):
Crosman 101 (My Original).
Crosman 140 (Sears 126-19300).
Crosman 2289.
Daisy 953.
Crosman 1322.
Crosman 1389.

Here is a 13 g pellet form my 1377 carbine...

I like heavies too!
