I gone HPA now, arthritis.

Glen
If I may ask how does pumping up an HPA or PCP gun help arthritis?    A lot of pumping all at once there.

The ones I will grab if I need to go in a hurry (ie tornado flies through town, or similar):
Crosman 101 (My Original).
Crosman 140 (Sears 126-19300).
Crosman 2289.
Daisy 953.
Crosman 1322.
Crosman 1389.

Tank & compressor or dive shop = zero pumping

I started with pumpers which I still enjoy but lately I have been prefering Co2 guns. Much easier to work on and diagnose problems.

As mentioned before, I love my pumpers but prefer co2 because of the ease and convenience. However, when it is cold like it is now, co2 shooters don't perform as well. My Mountain Air QB78 shoots great during the warm day, but when it gets dark it just can't seem to keep up.

Someday I will graduate to PCP I am sure  ???

I EDC my pumper (1322) running my trap line because I may or may not actually need to use it. I can pump and take a shot and be done with it. With CO2 you feel obligated to shoot the entire cartridge so you don't waste it, but you may not want to have to do that on a day in day out basis. So for everyday practicality I would say the pumpers prevail.
Black air pistols matter.

I started with pumpers long ago and over the years have shot a few springers. I really prefer pumpers... If you are going for bigger game Deer etc. only PCP makes sense...

but I live in a state that I do not air hunt in.

I love having the fun of experimenting with pumpers.

Right now I have low budget(~100$)/dependable/accurate hybrid MK1322  805 fps with 14.3 in 22 pumps (needs some fine tuning, should get 825-830) I just found a used Marlin Micro Groove  .22 barrel  to put on it to see if 16 lands and grooves work better than 10...

I will be building a 25 caliber in the next year...

Right now I have all the parts to put together  an MK1377.

I have already hit 900+ fps with the same MK177 powerplant a 16" barrel and 7.9g  pellets in 20 pumps

I am pretty sure I can get another 40-50 fps out of it...  I have a Dasiy 953  1:15 twist barrel that should be good for the JSB Beast and Monster and similar heavy/long pellets I am hoping it works out to help make an accurate 60+ yard .177 pumper...

I also have a Lothar-Walther  1:17.7 twist choked barrel for it and of course a Crosman 1:16 twist barrel all are ~ 19" long...

I have as much fun tinkering with them as I do shooting them...

So for me it always has been PUMPERS...

I forgot the above is with a pump cup and about .24ci valve and 1300-1500 calculated psi...

I am not guaranteeing it but I sure am trying... ;) 45-50 yards is probably more realistic at the 20-25 fpe level

Why? I don't feel that way. I got a 2400 from CCS for Christmas. Shot 3 carts and then 1/2 of the 4th. It's still in there (2 months) later and holding pressure just fine. When it gets warmer I'll start shooting it again.

targettgii

I have 13xx's, and 22xx's,I like them all but shoot the 22xx's because they are easier.I also have a Marauder but no tank just a pump so I don't shoot it that much but I will get a tank soon enough.

I have always had pumpers.  But I want a Co2 pistol for target work and plinking.  I'd like to do some of that informal honor system shooting you guys do and the Co2 gun seems a natural for that.  I have a shroud coming so that is going to be a new experience for sure.  I was seriously into PB for years but air gunning is easier to do.
Man, that was close!

You want a real good CO2 gun? Buy a Mark I, with the lever piercing pin. These guns are so accurate you won't believe it.  :P
We need to keep going and have fun doing it.
