Got the PA mini-catalog yesterday, just before my eye lids slammed shut I saw the H&N ad page.  A 21 grain .177 pellet?!?!  I've been wanting to try a REAL heavy weight pellet in my Disco since I opened the valve.  Just curious to see if anyone has tried these yet to get some real-world opinions.

Thanks!!  I don't know if H&N has poor QC now or what but the last few of their pellets I've tried have been disappointing.  I was hoping these heavyweights would be different.

21 grains in a .177 pellet? WOW!!  :o

Funny in that is heavier than any of the pellets I used in any of my .177, .20, .22 or .25 shooters last week!

I still haven't received my PA dream catalog, either  :(

I was thinking it must be a typo, but,

That's what I thought, too when I saw the ad.  Looking at the pellets online PA does state that they are PCP only.  Maybe some day I'll give them a try.

i have tried these in both my marauder and a friends hatsan galatian, galatian had a lw barrel and both guns spread them at a rate wich couldnt be called grouping at 30m.

as far i could tell the general bullet shape these has makes them difficult to stabilize at the relatively low velocities they move at in a gun tuned to fire much lighter projectiles

Thank you for letting me/us know that these were actually tried in different guns, good information!

I need to get off my rear and get to work... I  picked up an extra Daisy 953 barrel to try on my next MK build in the hope that the 1:15 twist will help stabilize them...

if so then it would be rather easy to use the daisy barrel in a disco I think it would do well with the JSB beasts and monsters also...

well I have to get hold of Bart and have him make a 1" valve extension for my next MK13XX build with the stock modded valve taken to .24 ci I am at about 21 fpe as a .22... I do not think that is quite enough for the Beast and Piledrivers.... the bigger valve would be about .35 ci

I think I need to be able to get about 25 fpe and the barrel is only 20" after prep for the Crosman breech...
