Crosman 1400 vs Benjamin 392

Both of them have about the same power but with different features. I prefer the 1400 for its steel construction and good look, but the 1400 valve is not modable whereas the 392 can be modified for higher efficiency. I am thinking of getting one to scare off coons in the backyard. Can you share your personal preferences and why. Thanks in advance.
