I'm considering a 2400kt to build upon.

I'm not a fan of the short forearm and would like to add a 2289 forearm and a longer air tube.  If I understand things correctly the Crosman 2260 air tube will work but will not provide any additional co2 capacity.  If this is true, is all I need to order from Crosman is the air tube, rod and end cap?

Thanks for any information!

Yes that is true but if you want to use the 2289 pumparm you will have to figure a way to secure it and if I am not mistaken they are not available anymore.I could be wrong about the pumparm though.

The 2289 forearm attaches to the lever link assembly, not the tube like the 2250 forearm.  Not sure you could make that work without some creative drilling and tapping.

You would probably want to widen the notch on the pump arm. (a round ball grinding stone on a dremmel works)  The 2250 tube is larger than the 17xx tube.  I think you can use the same mounting method as the 2400kt/2250 uses to mount their smaller forearm.  You would have to use longer screws and maybe reinforce the interior of the rear of the pump arm but, I don't see why you couldn't do it.
I found a pic of a 2260 that I did, as mentioned above, mount a 760 pump arm on.  Actually it is 2 760 pump arms put together.

I pulled the trigger and ordered the 2400kt with, 18" .22 barrel, silver trigger shoe, black muzzle brake, standard stock and the Williams peep sight.  I'll get the 2260 air tube and end cap ordered today as well.

It's my understanding that the Benjamin Discovery has the same size air tube as the 2260.  I have a .22 discovery and I have an extra 2289 forearm mounted upside down on the stock of my 2289 as a cheek rest which I really like.  I'll take it off and see how hard it would be to fit onto the 2260 air tube.  They are obsolete from Crosman these days but I've seen them on the internet around $25.00.  If it will work I'll fork out the $50.00 for two of them if not I might try the P-Rod suggestion.

I might try to glue, epoxy or JB weld a rail to the bottom of the air tube for accessories.

Here are a couple concept pictures of what I'm trying to create.  The first picture is the original configuration coming from Crosman.

Thanks for the input.

This is what I ended up with.

I epoxied the pump arm to the barrel bands.  I'll drill a couple small holes in the bottom of the pump arm for removal If needed.

That came out well.  Did you consider using the P-Rod forearm on your shooter?

Thanks!

I did but personally I like the look of the 2289 forearm a little better for this particular build.

Have to agree with you, the 2289 piece looks beefier and more business like.  Good choice.
