I did a little review on the 2300T ... if this is in the wrong place ... feel free to move it.

OK ... now I'm sure it's in the wrong place   :-[ :-X

Very good review.   :-* :-* :-*

Lots of little details and other items that others often miss.

This was weird ...

I was working on Part 2  ... I was getting around 390 FPS using those 8.2 gr pellets I show in the vid ... BUT ... every now and then I'd get a real slow one, or maybe two ...
I was trying to think of what would cause that  ??? and it finally hit me ... the trigger over travel screw was causing the sear to drag on the hammer !!! ... So I backed the darn thing WAY out (to heck with it) and the velocity jumped up to the 450 FPS area ... hmmmmm

Nice video  :-* Some will shoot them straight out of the box and never look back...and that's fine...but improving things is part of the fun!
thanks - enjoyed it

I think (at this point anyway ... subject to change) I'm just going to get the 2-stage trigger setup and call it "good"

Like I say ... I bought this for off hand practice ... and it shoots WAY better than I ever could "off hand" ...

... what a neat little piece !!!

OK ... as I modify it ... I'll keep ya posted ...  :-*

I agree. Looks like you're getting everything you needed with that pistol  :-*  I think the trigger upgrade is a good move too - well worth the extra bux.
A smaller CO2 gun - just like that - is on my list. Thanks

Another good review Darth.

And I do have to say, since I did the first install of the 1701P way back there in August 2011, I think it is one of thee best mods you can ever do to a regular ol' Crosman pistola.

What is the 1701P ?
Is that the 2-stage trigger ... or something else ...

Yes it is and as I've said before the cheapest and bestess mod you can do to a Crosman.

Part number for the 1701P trigger frame is 2220-103.  Last time I bought them they were about $33 each.  Think they might now be $36 or somewhere close.

Yup ... that's it ...

I just bought all the guts ... are you saying that I could have bought the entire assembly ... guts, frame and all for $40.00 ?

Please don't tell me that ...  :(

Uh, okay, I won't tell you that the complete trigger frame could have been bought at one time for about $40.  :-[

I just got one a month or two ago...$36.51 for the assembly (grips not included). It was, however, missing the safety spring and ball. The same order in the past had those items included. Of course, I could have lost them too (wouldn't have been the first time).

Like Carl said...best mod  :-*

Good review but....

It looks like we are shooting the same pellet.
I have a little more speed....

Since I made these tests I bought a power adjustment knob and muzzlebreak from Dave. They don't make it shoot any better but it looks cool:
