I actually used one quite similar to that at one time and ended up cutting the overhang off because it got in the way of something.  Don't remember what it was.

Only thing to be careful about is the fit on the Dovetail.  Some Dovetails are not quite spec and some of the adapters have fat bevels and do not fit in the Dovetail groove.

Haha no sir in fact in my haste I forgot to bring all my tools! As for them goodies I was hesitant coz US customs might take interest on them lol! Regards.
