Scope Parallax

I though we might have a "Scopes and Sights" board, but fining none I am posting this here.  I recently bought a BSA 2-7 x 32 AO scope and upon arrival found its size surprisingly large.    I am used to '60 Weaver and similar scopes and can only image what various 40 - 50 mm objective scopes would look like on Crosman pistols.

A 20-yard shot would be a long one on my "estate" so I am mostly looking for AO scopes and of low power, a rare thing.  I did find a Hawke crossbow scope with a nice reticle, but even that is set at 50 yard parallax, and it does not have the band described in the link below.  So I'm looking at some others.

And finally to the point, has anyone performed this adjustment?

Many times on every pistol scope I own.  To shorten the focus/parallax distance, turn the objective lens CCW.  First adjust the ocular lens for a sharp X-hair.  Piece of cake.  RC

Just make sure you have the right spanner wrench or correct tool for loosening the ring and then making sure it is tight should be no problem.

I actually have a couple of these scopes on two of my pistolas and really, really like them.  Great optics for the money, and they work well for general purpose shooting.

That UTG is actually where I started, but was trying to avoid variable power scopes.  But it is likely to join the collection.  It is to be hoped that by its name, anything to which it is attached becomes one.
