I have a 2400KT in 177 with 18" barrel. I have never considered it the least bit loud.  Today I received my new 2240. This bugger is loud.  I was surprised how loud it is. I have a Crosman revolver and had a Umarex PO8 ( for one day ) neither were anyway near as loud.

Yes, it is. That's why I stopped shooting mine, too loud. Don't want the SWAT team in my face. :P
We need to keep going and have fun doing it.

The 2240 is a bit loud.  It has the same valve and etc as the 2250 and 2260 (and your 2400KT) so it is using excessive CO2.  Essentially two basic paths; a longer barrel or a lighter striker (hammer) spring.  That is a simplification but one direction is for obtaining higher velocities and the other to reduce CO2 usage with only a small velocity drop.  The 2240 is a really nice package and easily tuned and modified.

Neither the P.08 or revolver have the power of the 2240; .22 caliber weight pellets at 425-450 fps.

Here is an FPE (or reverse) calculator:

I'm thinking about one. I haven't decided if I want a longer (10") barrel.  Because of poor eyesight and matching poor sights on the gun. A steel breech and a red dot will be first.

Another TKO vote as I had one on both my Crosman's and it makes them house friendly to shoot.

I looked around on the TKO website.  Is this product attached / held on by a set screw?    ???

Tko breaks are worth every panny. I have 3 with no regrets. A 22 cal one can be used on 177 or 22 also with very good results.

A 5.5 inch TKO device cut the noise about 50% or more.
