Almost finished my 1377 building i want to upgrade the front sight/barrel band but i have some doubt.
I have the stock barrel and the rear LPA MIM sight, so the barrel band should be compatible with the elevation limits of my sight.
I found this http://www.hpasports.com/crosman/1-13xx-pump-arm-pivot-barrel-band-with-fiber-optic-front-sight-black.html , pricey but looks good. or this http://www.network54.com/Forum/79574/message/1337246420/Barrel+Bands+and+Stocks but I don't know if it is still available.
Gmac sells a Brass one but i don't like it

These barrel bands are a custom pin, I hope it reduces the wobble of the pump action.

http://mellonair.myfreesites.net/solid-pins  Theses will really help with the wobble.  I use his bushings & rings on all my pumpers.  Will fit HPA pins.
Sadly Michael Chavka has quit the parts business a year or so ago.  So the HPA are the only 13xx bands I know of.
I'll check the MIM sight lines and get back to you.

I use a combination of Mellon reinforcing washer, Mellon sleeve, and Alchemy solid pin.   Note that drilling the pump arm pivot (NOT the tube) for the Mellon sleeve makes installation a bit more difficult - just a matter of getting things lined up.    For the barrel band the 3D printed barrel bank / pivot from Alchemy is very good, very tight, and inexpensive, but not flashy.   I have used 25 pumps with the above configuration - It has an FTP.

Also note the additional screws for the barrel band on Part 3 of Wyoman's sticky.

He used a much more attractive barrel band.

KAR120c, Sorry I thought I had an HPA band but I only have the Chavka bands.  So, any measurements will maybe  not be the same.  I can only think that the bands sight height would be the same as the OEM Crosman sight.
Probably a question to the folks @ HPA would get you an answer if it will work with a MIM sight.

Does Michael still have a website? I know I have seen it mentioned around here somewhere...  ???

Not anymore.  In fact, I bought his last wire stock about a year and a half ago.

Before Christmas an ad was put up in the for sale section for a nice 1377 with several upgrades including a Chavka barrel band, it is still there and not marked sold.

I think you need a few more posts to access that section.

The barrel bands at HPA sports are made by Bluefork. I have had two different Bluefork parts (not barrel bands) and both are good parts. When Chavka was still selling barrel bands they were about the same price as the Bluefork ones are now at HPA, I know because I purchased one then, which was about 5 years ago.

I think either one would be nice on a 13xx project, the fiber optic rod on top really helps with aiming, with the LPA rear sight.

I have the said rear sight and a Chavka/Blue Fork front end sight/crown saver that I was just going to put up for sale. I'll take a pic and share sometime tonight if not tomorrow.  :-*

With the barrel band i want a new pin too. I have read that the pin holes are misaligned and is necessary to drill to enlarge them. Is it true?

BillK

I had to enlarge the pin holes a bit using  the Chavka barrel bands & his pins.  However I have heard that the newer pump tubes were drilled a bit and enlargement wasn't necessary.  I don't know if that is true but, all you need is a drill & bit for the hole & some sandpaper to smooth out the holes so the pump piston is not gouged.

The pump pin comes with the barrel band......I think?

Yes, just a little bit but don't worry as I am THE worst tinkerer around and even I was able to pull it off. For the price it is THE best investment for your pumper(s).  :-*

Scroll down to the Green 1322.   Looks like the HPA barrel band works with a MIM sight.
