Well I finally did it, I ordered a 6.5 moderator from TKO for my 2240. I hope it's all it's cracked up to be!

First time I fired my 1377 with mine, for a split second I thought it "Failed to Fire", then the pellet hit the target.

Moderators on crosman guns are just brilliant. Much like HoosierDaddy the first time I used one I thought I'd forgotten to put a co2 cartridge in.

What are the internals like on the TKO?

I have a TKO for the 1720T.
I won't put one on the 2300S cause I like the open sights.

The TKO that Kevin sent me with the 850 is absolutely incredible. It took that rifle from an almost .22LR bark to a whimper. I thought I was mis-firing, but ran it over the chrony and was reassured of no fps or clipping. It is a big one though. All the others I've had were smaller for my 22xx shooters and while effective, not as quiet as this one.

Does the tko just get attached with a couple of allen screws and does it change your poi?

Secured with set screw or screws.

TKO does a pretty good job of not clipping.

On this one for the 850, it has two set screws at 180 degrees from each other. I originally mounted it with the screws at 12 and 6 o'clock. My poi was all over the place. So I rotated the screw position to 3 and 9 o'clock. All is well now. I really think that the length of this one makes alignment more difficult. This one is 7" long.

For the money, the TKO is the best in the business. IMHO Others may be a few decibels lower, not sure, but they cost a bunch more. And they, TKO, have incredible service of their products.

I just read on another forum where a guy says to stop shooting and put a fresh co2 cartridge in when your pellets start to drop or you could damage your tko. Is he right?

I expect that if they're dropping so much so as to hit the bottom of the inside of the pickle, they would fall on the ground just a couple of yards away.
