Another Breech Question.

Most questions I see posted concerning breeches are asking if the .177 and 22 are interchangeable. i noticed last night while measuring a Disco tube that it is .875" O.D. The 1377 tubes are .75" O>D.
This has me wondering if a 1377 breech will fit the Disco tube, ie: the radius bottom has enough slop to sit on the larger tube. And, going the other way will  a breech from a bigger tube tighten up on a 1377 tube. The extra breech I ordered was a part from a 2240 I think and it fits the Disco tube.

Maybe someone can list the Crosman models that use the .875 tube. I am thinking that the CO2 powered ones use the large tube but don't know for sure but seems likely.

Breeches are interchangeable between  22xx and 13xxx guns.  Granted the 13xx tube is a smaller diameter than the 22XX tube but the breech works on both with no problem.

Yep, used my CB breech on both 1377 and 2240. and it fit just fine also.

Depending upon the tube in question, the breech could sit on the ends or the center dependent on what radius they cut on the breech. I don;t have the CB unassembled right now but the radius on a stock plastic breech that I took off the 2240 is 7/16 which is half of .875, So if it holds true that all are made with a .875 radius (which makes sense if you think about it) then the same breech will touch in the center of the 13xx tube and have a small gap on the ends.

the crosman breech will fit either the 13xx or the 22xx series guns but some after market breeches are made specificly for each tube diameter so one won't work well with the other .right now i think they are all based on the same dimensions as the crosman except one that i'm aware of.
TOO many freaks and NOT enough circuses

I'll assure you they fit.
Because I ordered all the parts from Crosman to make a discovery pressure tube assembly and then put my 1377 crosman steel breech on it with a 2260 barrel.
And it is a fine rifle indeed.
It pushes 21 grain H&N Barracuda domed pellets to nearly 880fps.
So I'd say it works, cause mine sure does.
Thanks
