Time to make my own parts!!!! update 3/8/11 Custom bolt handle

 Just got this last week.Gonna give it a shot,my first part will be a brass safety lol. Then a valve.  did a bolt handle today.

Trust me, take the chuck key out before you turn it on! :-[

Thanks for the heads up,this models key has a spring at the end as a safety,it wont stay in the chuck.But the one at my old job did not.And no long sleeve's. :-*

That's definitely the way to go!
You know you have a problem when you find yourself using the lathe to make tooling to allow you to make a part  :)

a hobby lathe and a drill press makes everything so much easier when you want to play around modding stuff.. i use a hand drill clamped in a bench vise, then use a moto tool if i want to spin stuff sometimes  ;D

I like that Carl, Mad Man Mike  ;D lmao   I wanted to do this for a long time and now have the time,so wish me luck.Still waiting for bits and a Quick change tool post holder,they shipped in 2 boxes.

I dont know if im gonna keep it there i wanna put another bench in, to the right need to move lots of stuff.gotta watch the back.

I wish i had the room for some decent lathe and milling tools, you can never have too much tools ;D
