how much did you need to buy? What is the size of your box?
Thanks,

I bought 5 only needed 4 to cover an 8.5x11 inch backing. with the material being about an inch thick. Here are some pics. the opening in the cardboard is smaller than the backing material behind it.

That looks good CV! I've been contemplating a duct seal trap. Yours looks simple and effective. Thanks for the pics!

it's easy. any kind of solid like thing (wooden box,a pan,etc ...) and a few pounds of duct seal and your good to go
TOO many freaks and NOT enough circuses

you can recover them and re-smooth the duct seal but you can not re use the pellets.

Use B.B.'s!
Better to have it and not need it then need it and not have it!

I save the lead to cast bullets for black powder and modern cartridges.  :-*

I made one also out of duct seal and an old electrical circuit breaker box. I put a handle on top to make it easy to carry around.

When I was in a pinch and needing a trap, I took a medium sized priority mail box and filled it with kitty litter. That's right kitty liter!

I taped the box closed and it works great. Even at close range, my Discovery .177 doesn't go through.

The nice part is that the kitty liter falls down to fill the spot when it's crushed, and
you don't have to pick out the pellets when you stack them up.

Once the target gets torn up, just put some masking or duct tape over the hole, put on a new target, and you good to go.

I tend to leave one in the car; it doubles as clean up for oil spills when working on the car... LOL
