Received my HDD from AoA and installed it (after reading the instructions) in my 2250XE.  I put a drop of Gamo Oil on the HDD.  I didn't count the first 12 gram cartridge but it seemed like a lot of shots.  I am using 14.3 g CPHP pellets and got 50 shots out of the 12 gr CO2 powerlet (Crosman).  Pellets and powerlets came from Wally World.  Target was empty 12 Gr powerlets at 60 ft.  The last 10 shots did not drop on point of aim but were losing power. 51 st shot was weak and could see it arc in the scope.  Noise level was a little lower but hard to tell on these 66 year old ears.  I think the HDD does work.  By the way pellet count was by weight for 10 pellet groups.  I do not own a chrony yet, putting money in new guns.

Has anyone done a strict test on these things. I know the HDD comes up now and
again and I'd be tempted to try one but I just wondered.

Is it noticeably quieter? Or does it feel quieter (eg; less vibrations)?

How many shots - comparison of with HDD and without HDD?

Is there an alternative?

And finally, can someone please give me the winning numbers for this weekends Lottery - I need to buy more guns....

Cheers  :-*

Carl did a great review on the HDD. Do a search for Hammer Debounce Device and you will find it.
