I just wanted to try out these lead free pellets(9.5gr.) from Crosman and I like them so far.....with my modded 2240 I get 678fps. compared to 580fps with the 14.3 premiers. accurcy is great also, only drawback is they are a little more pricey in fact bout double that of the premiers but they shoot fast and flat.... :) :)

Those must be some of their new lead free pellets.  At that light weight I'm not surprised at the FPS increase.

Yikes, well, for 250 yea, a bit much fer sure.

Talking to a guy the other weekend who has one of those Gamo Hunter Extremes and had asked me if I'd tried the .177 lead free.  He wasn't impressed.  Of course, he like's his .22 caliber pellets more, especially since he does shoot pests, up to and including groundhogs.  He's got one of the those dual barrel Beemans.
It ain't like it used to be but, eh, it's do.

was kind of unsure whether or not to use these as the barrels don't have much rifling but the pellets are soft like lead an can be deformed easily.  caution to the owners of the p-rod.....I just tried the SST's in my M-ROD and had problems.....DON'T recommend for use in the p-rod....they didn't cycle well and also had problems getting bolt closed...ended up tearing apart and almost ruined a clip...
