Super glue the spring and ball, that way they will fly off  together ....  :)

If you are interested, I have done an easy inexpensive mod to the safety detent on my 1377, two more frames waiting for the mod.

It is still a spring/ball detent, but, once the mod is done you can take the frame off of the tube in any orientation you want.  You can shake the frame, drop it or whatever and the spring/detent never leave the frame.

Anyone interested send me a PM with your email and I'll send pics and the how-to.

Nuts about airguns and just nuts in general...but I'm medicated.

3 year old thread revived?

Is that a record?  Is there a prize?  What do I win?

I don't really see a problem, if you go into  disassembly knowing the spring is there.
I ve assembled an AR15 lower receiver, and it has two similar set ups.
In fact, my Crosman 116 has the same safety spring and ball.

I just take the safety out. No point in having it in if I don't use it, the best safety is your brain.
