took me awhile for co2 and now it works for me --- iffin you want lots of shots with air, save your pennies and buy a Daystate or just buy a bunch of little bottles ;) :)

when i had my disco the only time the hammer would bounce was when it was less than 1k psi.
what bothers me is that the gun sounds like a pcp running out of air.maybe i should have tried co2 before pcp
NS
i found out the hard way why safety is preached in pcp/hpa
one time at band camp :P.just kidding
i put my disco together and forgot to put in 2 of the retaining screws.the ones that cant be missed on the sides.only the valve and fill adapter was attached as i was checking for leaks.start filling it around 2k psi
the valve shot out the rear of the tube hitting me in the forearm leaving a bruise the size of a softball leaving my hand with a numb feeling, took a few days to fully close my hand.on that day i found out that a ss 8-32 screw will hold til 1800 psi before shearing off.not the way i wanted find that out.
pcp/hpa is safe as long as the user is doing their part.it was the funnest(dont know if thats a word)gun i had. shooting out to 75 yards was no problem and the pellet still smacked with authority i could hear it hit, loud

Yup that and seeing the foot of the bloke who had a pump blow up on him (old post). Ouch!

I think for me the up keep of HPA is probably similar to the up keep of scuba regs/valves and the meticulous setting up and expecting.
I prefer a Co2 gun to fart at me if a seal goes, maybe an ice blister but HPA....hmmm. I'm just chicken!  ;)

I suppose a pneumatic is a small single shot HPA gun in a sense but a small enough volume of air to not bother me.  ???

That said, I'll get one one day more than likely!  ;D :D ;D

Good Night!  :)

Like many of you, I preferred the "complete package" and having a self-contained power supply where all you need are a few tins of pellets, some elbow grease and you are good-to-go. No matter where you are or for how long, all you need are your own two arms and your trusty toy (and of course, maybe more pellets).

However, after a while I resorted to co2 just to see what it was like and what a welcomed change it was (and pretty cool, too). I could go on and on but I think you know what I am talking about  ???

PCP is a whole different ball game I am afraid to get into  ??? I am not man enough for PCP...

Well Noah, whilst the more 'manly' of us play with PCP (isn't that Angel Dust?!), we can hit back a few

Okay Mr. NorthStar, just what are you having in your morning tea over there across the big pond?  ;)

Milk and one please!  ;D ;D :D I'm a deranged fool with a crosman!

I think, other than that, the only time I've seen or heard 'PCP' used was in a classic film where he gets kicked out for possession
and theft. All for a $1 wager...... Trading Places! Great film..... product of your environment psychology!

In that case I'm hanging out with too many crazies!  ;D ;D ;D I'll go take a nap I think!  :-[

Hmm, maybe what you really need is a new project.  ???

Perhaps building up another really cool 13XX gun would settle your mind, and keep your wallet thin.   ;D

Oh Carl, it would only stay fat if I lived in the USA. Someone will have to adopt me. You can buy 3 x 1377 for the price I pay for one!   :(

BUT, you are right, as always!  ;) I did go to buy a 1377 last weekend but they were out of stock so I bought my first ever 2240!  :o

Needless to say I am starting a new thread as we speak (are you a psychic?)  :P

Like all things, it has pros and cons. I like the fast second shot, no pumping. I don't like the temperature sensitivity. I have a 2250b that isn't being used for hunting because most days are too cold now. My 2240 however, rides in my coat where it stays nice and warm.
And then there's the limited shot count. My pistol gets 20 per cartridge, which is how many my pellet holder contains. When its empty, it's time to recharge.
The biggest con IMHO is the need for pellgun oil. Locally, only 2 places carry it.

I like the contained system of my 1377 "blue meanie"
I feed it destroyers, and pump to 14
