power adjuster installation

I installed my power adjuster in my 2300T and had to cut a few coils off the hammer spring on  one end to make it adjustable.The uncut spring did not even make any difference in the power it was shooting ,but when I cut the spring  it made it very adjustable.One hint if u cut the hammer spring only cut from one end and put the cut end toward the hammer otherwise u can not get the adjuster knob  to go in but a couple of turns before it catches on the cut end of the spring.I want mine to shoot weaker for plinking.

Seems like I remember mentioning you would need to cut one or two coils off your spring in another thread you started about this same topic.

Have you been able to do any testing with the power adjuster at the most CCW position such that the least amount of pressure is on the spring?  May be too early but will be curious about how many shots you can now get out of a powerlet.  Also make sure you measure the velocity (FPS) of the pellet with the power adjuster at one extreme and then the other.

Just got it installed today and I don't have a chrono,but I started out on the weakest setting and it was very weak.I have screwed in about a quarter of the way now and it seems to shoot hard enough for cans and paper targets.
