I have looked at this pistol till I was blue in the face... then last night I found a cool tactical scope in my closet that I thought would look good sitting atop this pistol.  From all of my searches, looks like I can't go wrong with a purchase, so Pyramyd Air has yet more of my monies... I can't wait!

Originally I had looked at getting a big bore rifle, but I feel that I will get more use from the 1701P... do you owners of the 1701P have any regrests?  My guess is no.

I've had my 1701P since they were first available and must say that I have never regretted getting it and have actually thought about another one.  It is that good of a gun.  Lots of things you can do with it but what I really enjoy is just shooting it lots and lots.

That is good to hear, as I am kind of psyched about the purchase.  Nice display stand, and great set up.  Do you shoot from this set up as well, or is this just for storage and display?

That stand is just for storage and display purposes.  I usually build one for each gun so I can keep them out.  But then I cover them to keep the dust and other debris off them.  Go figure...

I know you will love the 1701P when you get it.  I enjoy shooting it as much as my .177 M-Rod and my Marauder pistol.

I may have a little modification work ahead of me, as I hope to tune it to use the pistol for pistol field target.  But I will shoot the snot out of it before I open it up... and wait for any warranties to pass.

Carl - thats an interesting scope mount. It looks like loading pellets are easy. Any other pros? Any cons?

Works great for loading pellets, plenty of room.  Plus, when and if you use the Taco hold you have plenty of room to hold the scope.

I have a scope on my 1377.  Its a little top heavy but what really bugs me is loading pellets is a pain.  I was thinking of going back to open sights or possibly a rd.  now I have a third option.

Hey carl, here shortly you may have to build a new display for that gun. the Black Walnut 10m grips will not fit in that little frame. lol

I ordered a set of tall rings with my pistol purchase, and if that does not work, I have a Williams blade site to use.

Yep got new plans in the works and cutting a new pieces.  It will be a little more oriented as a display stand for one of my prized possessions.

Make it worth your time to cut a few extra pieces, I'll buy a kit from you... just put the parts in a box, and I'll assemble them from your picture... what say ye?

I can do that.  Are you going to keep the OEM grips or go to something different?  Although I might try and make it grip independent which would be the best route.

Something like this one but not quite so exotic but at least gives the general idea.

OEM for now, but I would like to get some Walnut target grips in the not to distant future.
