Thanks for posting, all!

If I ever get some real room to shoot, I'll surely make one of those.

agreed too......that one dpricenator looks like a kewl version too....with a built in seat, and able to swap it from RH to LH....

Cut out the top from a 3'x2' pc of plywood I had left over from another project. Missing a foot on length, but I'm thinking this will work out just fine. Still needs paint and I'm thinking a pc of linoleum if I can find one instead of carpet.
Now to figure out some LIGHT legs on the cheap! Maybe, 1" sq aluminum tubing hinged?

Rich,
I have been wanting to make one similar and I am planning to get three of these 1" pipe flanges (pic below) and mount them on some 2X6 blocks that I will plane off in a wedge shape and mount at such an angle so that the screw-on pipes for legs will have a wider footprint where they hit the ground.  Just haven't done it yet.

Excellent idea. I just saw a pipe bender the other day with that same darn set-up.. That's the ticket old man. And I picture 2 "L" brackets underneath to hold the legs for easy transport and storage!!

Just finished the stool to go with my shooting bench that was finished about a month ago.  The dark color around the edge of the bench is where I poured CA glue on the board to seal it and protect the edges before applying the overall sealant.

The do-it-yourself stool is an excellent addition to any shooting bench.

That stool is awesome  :-* Bench isn't half bad either  ;) Really, they both look great. You need to stain the stool to match.

Can the stool top raise up and down? Looks like peg holes. Do you have a source for plans????

Thanks Rich

Okay, you are correct I do need to stain the stool to match.  I'll get around to it after the holidays.

Yes it does raise, probably about six to eight inches.

I'll find the plans and post them in here or provide the link.

Here are the plans for the shooting stool I made.  It is actually listed as a telescope observation stool but hey, my butt will never know the difference.  Besides that, it works absolutely great.

I like the handle to carry it with. Have to get to work in the New Year.

So many ideas on here. That table is a must. Tired of hauling the big white folding table up and down the stairs to shoot. Thanks for sharing both the table and stool!
