Question

All of the Steel breechs have that slot, but it isn't like the one on the plastic breech. They only accepts sites that are grooved for a dovetail. That site on there is the Mims site. I think they are around 30 bucks on the Crosman website. You could have the slot milled open a bit if you want to use the stock site setup.

Was just on the CCS site and the difference in length is 1-1/4" The shorter breech is cut off right before the single set screw on the long breech.

If you order CCS Breech's (Online) as shown in the 2nd or 3rd post above, they are NOT milled for a rear sight. They are like a Disco Breech.
I just bought 3, and they haven't changed the program.

My fault. I have had 1701P on the brain lately. It is that breech that is milled for the mims site

Correction......My Bad. The breech's from Crosman, (UNLESS you order the Disco breech, come with the cross milled slot for a rear dovetailed sight. Not sure what I was smoking, I mean thinking. Sorry. Walt
