Without a drill press how difficult will it be to add 1-2 8-32 set screws to my crosman steel breech without f-ing it up?  I have a hand drill and have recently added a trigger stop with a 8-32 dye.  This wasn't difficult at all.  I'm just thinking the breech would be a more difficult task.

Is the steel breech a harder metal than the trigger frame and will it be more difficult to drill and thread?  Can I them use the same drill bit and dye?  And without a drill press I would have to be very steady to not make it look sloppy.  Is this possible without a drill press?

It is possible.  So much easier on a drill press though.  More control of the feed rate and it keeps it square with the breech.  I would say the breech would be harder material then the trigger guard.  It still will drill fairly easy with a good drill bit.  Take your time and use some kind of tapping fluid on your tap when you tap it.
