Does Crosman have a standard for reading serial numbers and if so has it changed since the company started? Also curious as to what all the numbers mean.

Trying to pinpoint the year of my 38T. I think it's an "78" not not positive.

My numbers are # 178021502

Thanks Mike, I thought it was a "78". I assume the "1" is for January. Still curious as to what the other #'s are but they're probably just tracking numbers.
