Personalize your stock grips

I used Krylon FUSION, which is specially formulated to bond to plastic without primer.  Clean the grips with denatured alcohol, spread out some newspaper, raise the grips off the paper with small wood blocks or anything else that will do the trick.  Shake well and spray two thin coats, allowing 30 min., or more, between coats, and you've got new grips.  I used satin finish, and it comes in a variety of colors. Looks very good! I bead blasted a set of mine, cleaned as described, and applied several light coats of matte black bed liner. It gives them a pleasing texture and is very durable.

I have done the same to both grips and stocks and have had favorable results.

Nice job i like the color what is it. I was fooling around one night and painted these grips on my 2240.

I have my stock and forearm for my 1377 sanded down and going to paint them with   Rust-oleum textured black paint .It is snowing here today but it supposed to be close to 60 degrees Tuesday I am going to paint them then.

Did any of you use a primer coat before you applied the main coat?

No , just a base layer of olive green all over. Parts sprayed individually. Then put back together and camo'd as one.
It wasn't originally going to be camo, it just went that way! This particular paint doesn't require an undercoat or primer as such.

If you're using Krylon FUSION paint, no primer is needed, and it might be counter productive to use a primer. RC
