breech screw in front on 1377??

I just bought a used 1377 or black PC77B and the breech screw is in front of the bolt will  a new breech i have on back order from crosman fit this pistol?

Crosman sell two different part numbered breechs.  As long as you ordered the correct part number,  # 1377SBPK, one you will be okay.

I think the breech from the custom shop has the screw under the bolt and the breech from the 1377 parts list has the hole in front of the bolt. Not sure.

Your tube might just have both holes drilled and tapped so that it won't matter which breech you get, it will fit anyways.
If not, you can drill and tap a hole if needed and fit the breech to your tube.  However, if your gun has the front location of that hole and you end up with a breech that has the rear location and you drill and tap for it, you will need to notch the front of your hammer so it will clear the screw.

Unless some one has previously drilled your 1377 tube, the OEM 1377 tubes have only ever come with one hole drilled and tapped for the 4-48 screw and that location is in the front of the breech.  When you slide the bolt back you can easily remove the screw.

Thanks for clearing that up Carl.  I haven't payed attention on my 1377's but my 2300KT came with both holes drilled and tapped.  I assumed that the late 1377's were that way too.

22XX main tubes have been coming with two holes drilled and tapped for quite some time.  Seems odd too because the CCS guns are usually not stamped like the production guns.
