I picked up 3, 6rd mags on ebay for $10 for the  Vigilante. I think they will also fit the 357  ....

Doesn't the 6 round magazine imply they are for BBs?

Yes, but the discussion was can they be made for the .22 pellets. I think  :)

Well I've some coming as well and if the .22 don't fit then they will get drilled and be made to fit, maybe. Of course it will also take a barrel change I am guessing.  Anyway, it's a new game for me as I've never had one of these Crosman 357 shooters.

Really ... they shoot very well and if you do your part they shoot right on. The newer version, the  Vigilante
has the same trigger and frame as the 357. The major difference is the barrel assembly.

Would you happen to know if the Vigilante has a smooth bore barrel?  If it can also shoot BBs then I'm thinking that might be the case.

Rifled barrel. Click on specifications.

We need to keep going and have fun doing it.

KevinP

It's powered by CO2 and shoots pellets up to 435 fps and BBs up to 465 fps through a 6-inch rifled steel barrel. ... The dual accessory rails can accomodate picatinny or weaver mounts

the 6 round mags don't necessarily mean BB, back in the day (I got mine around '96) the 357 only came with a 6 round pellet clip if I remember right, it might have come with a 10rd clip but the 10 round ones were grey instead of black like the 6 round...

Crosman says on their details page:

"The Vigilante is a double action, semi-auto revolver that shoots pellets and BBs. Included is a 10-shot pellet clip and a 6-shot BB clip."

And from looking at the 6-shot clip it appears like it only works with BBs.

That is all I'm basing my statements on as I don't own one of these CO2 pistols.

Buy one, then you will have something to play with.

And the referb guns come in a nice box, not a clam shell. ;)

From your earlier recommendation that is exactly where I have one on order.  Should be here next week.  Have you ever got one of the refurbished units?  Any thoughts on how they are as compared to a new one, besides being cheaper?

Yep. I bought mine from AGD also. Compare to a new one? Never had a new Vigilante. I did notice that the trigger pull is a little heavier than my 357 phase I. But other than that it works great. :-*

ped

looks to be plenty of room to drill the mags to .22
