Recently my wife has been showing an interest in shooting my airguns, more times than not(weather permiting) she will wander out when she hears the all to familiar thwack of a pellet hitting my target. Now dont get me wrong i like having company and the competition, as long as she doesnt start out shooting me that is :)
The problem is what happens when we have two crosmaniacs in the house, at the moment it is her that keeps me grounded and my spending under control. i can just imagine the house being morgaged in pursuit of the ever elusive perfect gun :-X
that being said i mentioned to her this morning that i might bet her her own gun for her birthday, expecting a reply along the lines of " dont be so stupid" instead i got "well dont spoil the surprise"
i know for a lot of people there shooting time is a chance to get away and relax, recharge and just have some alone time but for me it is becoming a family affair with my kids even starting to participate.
so what do yall think?
how many of you share your hobby?

I think it's great. It's a good family activity as long as the ground rules are set and everyone follows them. The air alone time that I need is when I'm working on them. All of you parents out there know what it's like to be in deep concentration then hear dad, dad, dad, dad, dad. I'm sure I'll miss that some day  :)

I like to get together with 2 of my friends and we shoot pellet guns and real guns on nice days.We shoot some at one of my friends house and he has a lot of land so don't have to worry about neighbors.Other times one of them comes to my house to shoot on my range and we plink cans and bottles and have best of 5 shots from different distances and I practice a lot by myself. Its all a lot of fun.

i think airguns are a great platform to start kids of on and to teach them gun safety and respect.
i have a 4 year old and i swear every second word out of his mouth is dad and yes you will miss it i try and remind my self of that everytime i am up to my elbows in crosman parts and he wants to HELP

I think any time spent with my wife and girls is time well spent. But alone time is also needed yes they all shoot with me sometimes i have more then enough time to shoot by myself so im good with that. Now i have a buddy that comes over and just can't shut up and i like it because it kinda trains/teaches my to tune out noise when im shooting :D

My wife shoots with me some times. She's very supportive of my airguning.  Also like to have friends over for dinner and shooting.  Taught a friend's son to shoot in the garage with a 1377 and daisy powerline 880.  My four year old loves to shoot with dada.  I aim and he pulls the trigger.

Yall are lucky. My wife aint too big a fan of the airgunning yet (prolly cause i', always tryin to hit something out the window lol) I did finally manage to get her to shot some powder burners with me last weekend and i enjoyed having company with me while i shot. Just today i was able to get 2 of the neighbor's kid into shooting a lil with me. ITs always great to get someone new into shooting. Whether it air or powder shooting is always better with someone you love

When i was younger me my dad and my little Brother would shoot for hours good times for sure.

My son is 15 and he and I shoot together quite often.  I'm not as serious when he's with me, but that's fine - we have a good time!  My fondest childhood memories are of shooting with my dad when I was a kid.  My wife isn't interested in shooting, but she likes seeing the two of us shooting together.  She had fun shooting a .22 powder burner at my folk's house a couple of years ago, so it's still possible we can get her sucked in!

I coach air pistol for my son's shooting team. We spend a lot of time together shooting, at least three nights a week in the basement range plus one night a week with the team. Most of that time is him shooting and me coaching. So on Sunday afternoons we like to go outside a plink for fun, my wife will come out and takes a few shoots from time to time. It is really a good, fun family hobby.
