Oh yeah, when looking at my 2240 @ $56 shipped I thought nice deal!  And it was.....HOWEVER, a little upgrading,  modifying, tinkering and accessories and we have easily sailed past the $200 mark and beyond!  There's always "one more thing"....and I already know what my next "thing" is....I've convinced myself to relax a bit though and enjoy what I have and the process and experience getting here.  Don't forget to shoot the damn thing and enjoy it no matter where it is in its' evolution!

If you think that's expensive, try buying yourself a £600 Colchester master lathe. Mind you, once you've got it and the 'know how', there's virtually nothing you can't do with it. Bespoke one off items here we come....................

you are right about that
i have a friend that is a swat team leader and does drug house entries.
his colt is a wilson custom iirc he spent $3700 on that gun
for that price it better shoot criminals before he can pull it
the ruger 10-22 is a money hole also
