International Ordering?

Hey again,

this is probably one of the most daft noob questions but ive done a forum search and a google search and not got much information  ...

So im going to get my first Crosman next week im looking mainly at the 2240 as its co2 and will be my first c02  ...

So i had a look online and it seems im looking at between 80-100 pound not bad  but i came across a site called Pyramyd air which have the 2240 for 37.50 pound.... So i give them a mail and asked would it be all legal to send it to the uk and they said they can send any air rifle under 12ftlb and pistols up to 6ftlb which is out legal limit but im still thinking is it fully legal for me to buy one from there and them to send to me?...

If there could be any problems then i will buy it from a uk retailer...

And one other thing if someone could explain how this works would be great say i mod my 2240 when i get it how will i know its under the legal limit? I know you can find out with a Chronograph test but doesn't the readings depend on the grain of pellets used? so how would i know its under the legal limit even if its under the limit with the pellets i use?.

if pyramid said they will send you one.sound like the best price for the gun anyhow.i think i would jump at it.im in the usa btw
they are a huge ag retailer here in the us most of the time with the best prices

Yeah, I'm thinking NorthStar and a couple of others have lots of information on getting stuffed shipped to the UK.

Thanks for the replys  thats what i was thinking just amazing pricing even with shipping to the UK... I have heard that its now illegal for shops to send air guns through the post thats the only thing im thinking could be a problem  ...

Yep,as long as airgun does not exceed- rifle 12ftlbs pistol 6ftlbs all good,any item outside EU you will get hit with UK import tax,postie will have his/her hand out for cash on your doorstep

sorry for all the questions lol  just wondering how i know a airgun is legal for the UK? by that i mean say the fps is rated at 800fts wont that vary depending on the weight of pellet? lol  .

You need to get your sender to write a note saying airgun under 12ftlbs rifle,6ftbs pistol,unless manufacturer of said airgun states power in there advertising which is under our power limits.

Haha everythings rediculously taxed here  ... Lets just hope the decleration form gets lost in sending  lol... Think i will have ti enquire how much tax would cost before i make an order from Pyramyd air  ...

will make sure everything is clearly marked if i do order from pyramyd  .
