I recently added a Barska 4x15 scope to my 1377 using the Crosman intermounts.  I have a question about the scope however and please forgive me for the stupidity of this question.

The eyepiece has a locking ring on it and you can dial the eyepiece in or out by a total of at least 3/4 of an inch and then tighten this ring in place.  I don't think it has anything to do with magnification and there is no mention of this in the manual at all.  I searched online but nothing also.  I played with this and I like the field of view better with the eyepiece dialed out a lot but I don't knwo what I just adjusted.  Could it be adjusting the eye relief?   Could someone please tell me what this adjustment is for.  Thanks a lot.

The eye bell focuses the image. If this is a non-AO scope, you may have difficulty focusing the image and the reticle at the same time. This relates to the parallax adjustment for the scope from the manufacturer. When in doubt, consult the user manual.

Thanks, there was nothing in the manual related to this - not that I saw anyway.
