Will a Discovery .22  breech fit a 2240?
Airforce Condor .25
1377 modded with 24"barrel
Daisy 880

Colt25

I have the same kind of question. Will a disco tube fit the 1377? To make my 1377 a PCP. If so. What psi?

Melvin

The answer is yes.  Here is what you need.

Disco breech.
Disco hammer.
Disco bolt.
2240 tube with both breech screw locations.

The Disco breech has the screw underneath the bolt.  The 2240 has the breech screw before the bolt.  If you use the stock 2240 hammer it will hit the breech screw in the Discovery location.

Take your breech off of the 2240 and see if you have two breech screw holes.  If you do you are in great shape!  I should have a Disco hammer laying around if you need it.  Let me know.  I have done this breech swap a couple times.  Super easy.

will you need the spacer that a disco uses on the barrel?
will the rear(new) screw location need to be tapped?
closed mouths dont get fed

My 2550 has a disco breech on a standard 2250 body, but my breech has both screw holes.

I have no spacer on mine and the breech has been opened up for a 12mm barrel.
The barrel sits pretty flush with the body tube.

Before I had the modded hammer for the 1710p trigger frame I was using a standard 2240 hammer and trigger frame.

You will not need the spacer from the disco breech.  And usually the rear hole is already tapped on the 2240 tube.  Ive done 3 of them and they were pre drilled and tapped!

X2. My 2240 tube has both as does my 2260 tube but my 2250 tube only had the old position.

All the newer 22xx guns are tapped and drilled and ready to go.  In the past they only had the front hole.

As far as I know.

For some dumb reason the discos still need the front hole tapped.  COME ON CROSMAN!  TAP BOTH HOLES!!!

Nay laddie. Both the 2260 and 2240 tubes have both holes BUT my 2250 only has the old hole. I've not checked my XT tube
It's kinda typical as this is the one tube I do need the extra hole on! A little mod for later perhaps...  ;)

My Disco breech has been drilled for both holes and I've not had a disco tube so I have no comment.
And regarding the tapping of holes, there is an old saying over here (but not one I live by!) that says "Any holes a goal!"

disco tubes are drilled for the breech screw under the bolt

if you get a custom shop crosman or i guess maybe a crosman long steel breech the breech will fit a disco airtube with the breech screw under the bolt.

don cothran sells stainless steel 2260 pcp tubes, machined with everything drilled and tapped. add disco valve, disco guage block and guage, disco fill adapter, disco hammer spring, disco hammer ? maybe i think their the same size as a disco. then use ur 2240 trigger group, longer barrel, and ccs breech or long steel breech

all in all the conversion using disco internals a cut down crosman disco tube is $80 - $110 using crosman parts for the most part, if you use a cothran stainless steel 2260 tube that tube alone runs 60 to 80 bucks cant narrow that down because i havent looked it up in awhile. but those tubes are burst rated for 11,000 psi, so you pin the disco valve with the larger valve pin screws, hog out the gauge block and do some good tuning and you could fill to 3,000 psi and make a carbine that puts the prod to shame on everything cept for being a single shot vs repeater but now with sergio over at bnm airguns you can get a multi shot breech setup.. but you get disco power levels with a greater shot count then a unsafe gadget
