2300 S pistol has a power adjuster that will fit the other 23XX and 24XX pistols? The part number is 2300-124 (assy) and it has a hammer spring, spring guide, set-screw and adjusting screw & cap, along with the housing for the tube, and it's only $18 shipped!  :D

Once again, Cros parts rule, well, most of the time anyway  :-*

I screwed up and ordered a power adjuster from a Challenger rifle. It fits these as well, it doesn't have a set screw so I put the one from my 2300s on my son's 2300kt and the new one on my 2300s. Mix and match.

So.. deciphering here... the one you had on a 2300S (with a set screw)  fit well on your son's 2300KT?  ???

Does that also mean that all of the parts (spring, spring guide etc) fit well too?

i read a while back the crosman power adjuster let you add tension but doesnt decrease tension
what im saying is if your gun shoots 420fps stock you add the adjuster you can get it to shoot 450fps but if you want the gun to shoot 400fps the adjuster will only go to the stock 420fps

The Challenger power adjuster (ch2009-120) does not come with a spring.  I used the stock 2300s spring. Like I said, this power adjuster doesn't have a set screw. My son shoots his gun in competition so I want to lock it so it doesn't change. I put the adjuster off my 2300s on it. It was shooting 575 fps. With the adjuster I can turn it down to 550. I need to find a softer spring, I want to get it down to 500 and gain some shot count.

I might have to make a spacer like the 2300S has.

Makes sense, the valve low limit is not affecetd by the hammer and spring, I guess thats why the 2300S has a spacer in the valve.

its not?
so if i use a lighter hammer and lighter hammer spring the gun will still shoot at the stock speed ???

Oh it might but, I would think that there is point of no-return where there is a minimal actuation of the valve, which releases xxx psi & volume which results in xxx fps with a specific pellet, after that, any lighter tension/hammer won't actuate the valve at all, i.e. that's the lowest psi/volume output of the valve based on it's geometry and internal volume etc.
