Make sure you get rings that will fit the rail and the scope.  At almost 12" long the scope will be about 2" shorter than your 1377.   Eye relief's not bad at 3.5"

Good luck!
i had a full size scope on my 1377

the rings are weaver rings you will need 3/8 or 11mm dovetail rings or an adapter

Personally, I'd stay away from a scope and go with a decent red dot. The air pistols really don't have the range to warrant a magnified scope and getting one with enough eye relief won't be easy if you shoot in a regular pistol stance. I put a Bushnell red dot on my Ruger 22/45 and it's dead accurate. I think it has a 3 MOA dot. That's 3 inches at 100 yards. When was the last time you shot your air pistol at something 100 yards away. The dot is plenty small for the 10 to 20 yards you'll probably be shooting. Here's the red dot I use on my Ruger.  http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00200E0HM/ref=oh_details_o04_s00_i00

you are right!
i used a rifle scope on my 1377 for a long time before adding a stock
after i put a scope on my 2240 it also had to be stocked, the main reason is because i cant hold the guns like i used to.heck freehand is hard for me now.good thing muscle memory will get me back up to snuff after some practice

I don't expect anyone to follow my advice but now I use a crosman targetfinder 4x15 ($10) for birdfeeder snipping. you have to fiddle with the adjustment knobs but once set, it stays set. If I was going to pay more, I'd get a leapers bug buster 6x for the close parallax.

i was thinking of getting a 6x bugbuster myself!
i wish the reticle wasnt so thick
