1322 is a .22 caliber and you noted the diffrerences, barrel, breech & bolt. 1377 is .177 caliber and ditto.

thanx everybody. i wasnt sure if i should start with a 1322 and just upgrade with custom parts or if it is just the same if i start with the 1377. will i get the same performance results in the end? im looking to build as powerful of a small game carbine as i can, and i really like the 1377/1322 platform

1377x

not the same performance between the two
the 1322 will have more fpe and just as accurate
closed mouths dont get fed

so by changing out the barrel breech and bolt on my 1377, and going with ft piston and valve, will be sub par to doing the same to a 1322?

Breech is the same between the two guns.  Just the barrel and bolt are different.
