My .875 diameter 14" TKO partial barrel shroud is on the truck to deliver today!! That will be going on my 2289 and then it SHOULD be finished..(for now) and then I get to sit and wait for a few days for my 2240 that I ordered last night.

I should have waited until it got here, but....

Came as a .177 with an 18" barrel, but now sports a .22 18" to match the tube which says 1322. I thought I had a steel breech, but the one I have is a rear screw breech and I will need a front position. Has the supersear in it and I already lightened the spring a tad. Camo bolt handle that was made by one of our members. Backpacker Green pump arm with Green matching grips! I am happy! Never saw the green grips before today.

I will machine this barrel down to 12" and keep it as a pistol. Shot three half dollar sized groups of 5 with the open sites and 5 cups of coffee in me at 5M! So for me, those are very good groups. A red dot will top it off once I machine the forward position on the steel breech.

That's a great looking pistol. I've never seen green grips either, just the stock and forearm.

The green grips are what originally came on Backpackers when they were introduced. And to think I believe I have two more pairs of them.

So... the grips were held on with the 6-32 screws like a pistol on the orig Backpakers? The stock was still QD like now right?

Guess Crosman overlooked that tiny, lil extra for us with the new 2289's? ??? :D

I was looking for an older one to restore, but couldn't pass this one up after seeing the beautiful wood on it.
